Finding Beautiful Cheap Valentines Day Flowers

As Valentine’s Day approaches once again, gift ideas for our sweethearts come to mind. If diamonds and furs aren’t within your budget this year, or if you want to give gifts to just about everyone you know, cheap Valentines day flowers might be the answer you’re looking for.

Heading to a local flower shop is not what you want to do, especially if price and budget is a problem. The flowers there are very expensive and you’ll be paying some stiff delivery charges on top of that.

Ordering online isn’t much different. Even ads that we see talking about flowers ‘starting at $14.99′ turn into a $40 order by the time you add taxes, rush delivery (so they don’t die in transit!), shipping, delivery, and taxes. So much for that great deal!

If you really want good flowers at a low price, try your local grocery store and even your local convenience stores. These flowers ‘ depending on your region ‘ are frequently grown locally, if not outside than perhaps in a hothouse. Worst case you’ll have to pay state or local taxes on the purchase, but that’s it.

$100 and upIn many cities at this time of year especially, you can always find people selling flowers of all kinds at red lights and on street corners. The prices are very reasonable, they usually don’t charge extra for taxes (we assume this is already taken into consideration when they price their flowers), and the flowers are strong, healthy and beautiful.

Remember ‘ cheap doesn’t necessarily mean poor quality, especially when it comes to flowers. And of course, expensive certainly doesn’t mean high quality either.

Buying your flowers locally will also help area businesses who depend on this income that only peaks a few times a year. Forget the expensive delivery charges and all the other add-ons that large flower shops charge, and deliver them yourself!
